Tune-Ups & Maintenance
Most summer breakdowns we attend were visible months earlier. A tune-up is the cheapest thing you can do to a system.

When cooling fails in a Valley summer it stops being a comfort problem fast. We diagnose the fault properly, then quote.

Warm air coming from the vents

The unit runs constantly without reaching temperature

Loud buzzing or grinding at startup

Short cycling, on and off every few minutes

Ice forming on the refrigerant line

A bill that jumped with no change in use

Set to Cool, target five degrees below room temperature, and check that the batteries are fresh.
Hold it to the light. If light doesn't pass through, replace it.
Only if the panel is dry and undamaged, switch the tripped breaker fully off, then back on once. Never keep resetting it.
Clear loose leaves and debris from around the unit, and observe whether the fan is spinning. Do not remove covers or reach inside.
Ice on the refrigerant line means stop cooling, switch to fan-only and let it thaw. Call if ice returns.
Not a guess from the driveway. We test the system under load.
We'll show you the failed part rather than describe it.
Before anything is touched. You approve it or you don't.
We run the system through a full cycle before we leave.
Most AC failures come down to a single component: a capacitor, a contactor, a fan motor. Those are parts, not systems. We'll tell you when a repair buys you several more years, even when the replacement is the larger invoice. Our technicians don't work on commission, so there's nothing in it for us either way.

We'll tell you plainly when a repair is the better call. When it isn't, you get a system sized for this climate rather than a catalogue default.
